Let's celebrate!
W Yalla!
Three posters of mine were all shortlisted in competitions around the globe, 2 made it to the Best Hundred Arabic Posters (Round 2) in Cairo, Egypt. &, one was in the Poster For Tomorrow shortlist in Paris, France. All three were among the top 150 picks of the best of the best amongst 4000+ posters.
These posts all include photography, hand lettering, photo-editing, photo- retouching, photo-montage.
And now, the interesting part, the...
...Why behind these lovelies.
01: Don't Kill Me, says Lebanese History.
This first piece was made after the Gemmayze 651 building collapsed (behind Em Nazih.) I was present when the building collapsed to the ground, and it hurt to see this art-deco monument just painfully fall because of secret motives.

The poster features cutouts from articles glued on it from newspapers talking about the historical loss we are experiencing on Lebanon in a bilingual manner.
Instead of taking this loss in and forget about it, I painted on ‘Don’t kill me’ using an old, dead Arabic script, on the facade of the remains of the actual building, and took a picture of the whole happening.
02: Car exhaust(ing our planet.)
The above is explaining what is happening with the ozone layer, and, in a few words, it's not doing well. And a primary reason is the car exhausts' emission of toxic gas in the atmosphere. And that perfectly sums up, in a few words, the idea behind the poster. It reads in arabic: 'What the hell are you doing?' & simultaneously, 'Car exhaust.'
In case you'd like to read more about the poster, please feel free to check the description on the posterfortomorrow website here.
03: Honestly, that's me in a poster (I know you read that to the tune of Losing My Religion.)
Nothing to say here, except, this is just where I make my magic. This is a collage of things you'd find on my desk, and some calligraphy trials I have made over the years. This piece was also auctioned to Bank BEMO sarl Lebanon, and is currently hanging at one of their branches!
